1960 Buick LeSabre

13,588 convertibles were made in 1960 and sold for $2,755-$3,491.

1960 was the first year fins started to decline after the massive fins of the 1959 GM products.  This doesn't mean they were any less distinctive on the 1960 models as the fins simply moved from upright to angled.  The jet age design theme is clearly represented by the headlight intake, sweeping wing from hood to trunk and taillight exhaust.  It exhibits a "Mirromagic " instrument display that is mounted reverse inside the dash reflected upright through a mirror to the driver perhaps emulating the first "heads-up display".  A clock and speed minder add to the luxury accessories.

This 41,000 mile vehicle was built on the second week of May, 1960 at the Flint, Michigan plant.  It was delivered with this beautiful Tampico Red on red with a black top.  This vehicle spent its life in Tennessee before coming to California.  It has a new white top with disc brakes and gorgeous 20" Coyz wheels enhancing the "Batmobile" look already inherent in the design of this car.
