1955 Ford Thunderbird

Introduced on October 22nd, 1954 Ford revealed its version of a 2-seat personal luxury car.  It was an immediate hit selling 16,155 units in its introductory year.  The entry price of $2,695 gave you a V-8 roadster with luxury options like power seats and windows, power brakes and steering and air conditioning.  Initially the removable hard top was standard and the soft tops were optional.

This vehicle was built in Dearborn on February 21, 1955 for the Memphis sales district.  It is presented in its original Thunderbird Blue with a turquoise and white interior.
